twins win! twins win!

It is finally baseball season! It might be snowing here in Minnesota, but baseball is on!

The Twins won tonight 3-2 over the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Hernandez got the start for the Twins. He pitched seven good innings. He is not the strike-out pitcher like Johan Santana, but he is a seasoned veteran. Pat Neshek had a good eight inning and then it was time for the Joe Nathan show! Nathan had two strikeouts and one ground out to finish the game.

The real hero of the game in my opinion was Carlos Gomez. Gomez took the place of Torii Hunter in center field, and boy did he tonight! Gomez had two hits, two runs and two stolen bases! He looks to be a great pickup for the Twins!

It could not have been scripted any better. A starting pitcher goes seven innings, go to the Twins amazing bench (maybe the best in the Major League), and go to the best closer in the Major League. Here's to the Twins first win of many this year!
