about me

I thought it was about time to get a blog going, so here's a little about me to get things started.

My name is Johann Sonnenberg (pronounced "Yo-han") and I am a ColdFusion developer. I think I am hearing lots of cheers. :) I started with ColdFusion 4.0 in 2000 when I was still in college at the University of North Dakota and have stayed up with the technology to date. I am a big Model-Glue geek and have used it for about a year. I have about four years of Oracle experience and in the past two years, with a change of employer, I have now been using SQL Server 2000. You could say I am a database centric programmer, although I am getting better using objects.

In March of 2006, I started the Southeast Minnesota ColdFusion User Group for all the CF developers in SE Minnesota. We have just over 60 (registered) members and average 15 or so attendees per meeting.

I'm from New Ulm, MN and have a wife, Sherry of almost five years. We live in Hayfield, MN and both work at this big clinic in Rochester. I enjoy working out, camping, and most importantly drinking beer.

So that's a bit about my life and my technical experience. Look for more to come about ColdFusion, SQL Server, Model-Glue and ColdSpring.

Peter Bell's Gravatar Oops - just saw the time stamp. Apologies for being so late to the party, but I just got the link from one of the aggregators, so maybe you've just been added to MXNA or Full as a Goog?

johann's Gravatar Peter,

Yeah, I have been added to MXNA and to ColdFusionBloggers.org but not FullAsAGoog.com yet. I think that Geoff Bowers hates me as I have asked twice now. :( Heh. No worries! Thanks for stopping by my little space on the web.
